Family-Owned, Community-DRIVEN

In 2021, Adam and Julie Kraft left their life in Florida and returned home to Kansas to bring a new vision to the Red Brick District of historic Downtown Augusta.

Adam, a retired law enforcement officer with 25 years of service, continues his dedication to SERVICE as a member of the United States Coast Guard. His time away on active duty makes Park Bench Brewing Co. more than a business. It is a personal mission grounded in community, service, and connection.

Julie brings her background in county government, finance, and medical contracting to the everyday operations of the brewery.

With the support of their three daughters and extended family, the Krafts are restoring the historic Winchester building while honoring its 108 year old character and transforming it into a warm, inviting gathering place for friends, families, and anyone passing through.

Park Bench Brewing Co. is more than a brewery where beer is made. It is a place where stories are shared and memories are created. Visitors from Augusta, Wichita, Andover, Benton, El Dorado and beyond stop in to enjoy craft beer brewed onsite, including German inspired styles, light and dark beers, seasonal favorites, and small batch creations. Whether someone searches for craft beer in the Wichita area or for breweries in Augusta, Park Bench Brewing is a taproom worth discovering.

The Kraft family created Park Bench with families in mind. Guests of all ages are welcome, and many make themselves at home with board games, card games, sodas, and time together at the table. The taproom is designed to feel like a community living room where every person who walks in the door is treated like a neighbor.

Park Bench Brewing Co. proudly stands as a family owned, women owned, and veteran owned small business. Adam’s service in the Coast Guard and two and a half decades in law enforcement shape the brewery’s values of respect, community involvement, and genuine hospitality.

Alongside handcrafted beer, guests enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with plenty to do. People often spend an afternoon playing games or hanging out on the patio, and visitors searching for a brewery that offers board games in the Wichita area will find exactly what they are looking for at Park Bench. Trivia nights, music bingo, pub events, and weekend gatherings give regulars and new faces alike a reason to return.

Food is always welcome at Park Bench. Augusta is full of great places to eat, and the brewery encourages guests to order takeout or bring meals from nearby restaurants. Many simply grab food from the local spots right next door and enjoy it alongside a pint. The brewery also regularly hosts food trucks and pop up vendors, giving everyone a chance to try something new while supporting fellow small businesses. Guests who are looking for Kansas breweries with food trucks or easy dining options will feel right at home here.

Whether someone is planning a family afternoon, a night out with friends, a date, or a relaxed stop along a Wichita area brewery crawl, Park Bench Brewing Co. is a place where everyone is welcome. Locals continue to recommend the taproom to out of town guests, and the Krafts are honored every time Park Bench becomes part of someone’s story.

At the heart of Park Bench is exactly what the name promises. It is a place to sit, share, laugh, and belong. A place to return to again and again. And a place where community grows, one pint at a time.
